Launched in March 2023, the company’s center, technically referred to as ELECTRICOM Training Center hosted a ceremony of awarding certificates of competence to 47 students, 14 from RP MUSANZE college, 14 from RP KARONGI and 19 from RP GISHARI college
A day of joy
The day of Saturday 16th November 2024 started out as rainy day and abated later on, at the company’s headquarters located at Gahanga on the kk 15th Rd Kigali – Nyamata Road. A tidy room was made ready to host training participants, their trainers and the Electricom management team
Among guests of honor present for the day was Mr. NGENDO Clement representing RP MUSANZE Principal but also serving as Agricultural engineering head of department at RP Musanze college,
Present also on the day was MR. MPAMBARA Musinga representing the Vice Principal RP GISHARI College but also Agricultural Engineering Department at the RP Gishari. There was also Mr. BIZIYAREMYE Jean Baptiste representing RP KARONGI and the representative of the district of Bugesera.
That day was so special in a circumstance where the presence of international experts Jan Peters and Harrie Rosmalen, both guests had joined Electricom in the training of trainers that had took place at RP Gishari campus in the application of renewable energies in modern irrigation technologies.
Message of the day
All speakers of the day emphasized on the ultimate objective of the training received, that of utilizing gained skills into innovating practical solutions that can be traded either by bringing new technologies to local faming businesses through employment or trainees heading straight into creating jobs for themselves from acquired skills.
Certified students were urged to keep the Electricom spirit in their next endeavors, apply skills they received for development of the agricultural Agriculture sector but also develop project ideas able to gain financial support in the quest of creating jobs into country’s food market system
Message from the CEO
MR. KARIMUNDA Fidel Claude, the company’s CEO thanked all in attendance, stressing on the importance of state – private sector partnership into finding solution to the issue of youth unemployment as well as national job creation efforts. He promised that Electricom is ever more determined to double down its contribution into TEVET skills development and therefore actively support the overall government efforts for the country’s socio- economic transformation!
